hey there! i’ve collected my most asked questions here to hopefully help you out! if you’re curious about something not on this page, feel free to reach out to me about it via DM or email beachwolftattoo@gmail.com !
-
i regularly work at Unkindness Art in richmond, VA
our shop address is 2923 North Ave, Richmond VA 23222
-
after you submit your form, i process them and email you back! please add beachwolftattoo@gmail.com to your contacts to ensure it doesn’t go to spam!
the email i send will include any additional questions i might have and usually a link to book a consult upon request, and/or a link to book your appointment! using the link provided will allow you to put down your deposit and secure your appointment.
upon arrival, we review the design together to make sure we are both happy with the mockup(s) before moving forward!
-
my regular rate is $200 per hour. this only counts towards time that is actively needle-to-skin, so i do not charge for prep time, restenciling, etc.
my deposits are $150 for single sessions and $300 for large scale work. these are nonrefundable, however they are taken off the total price of your tattoo once it is completed.
-
i usually render my designs within 24-72 hrs of the appointment, which means it can be very difficult to show off the designs beforehand. i do this to allow my designs to be made fresh and not over complicate my process.
so i ask that clients please wait until their appointment to see the design, however this doesn’t mean you are married to this design before seeing it! when we review at the beginning, i am happy to allow edits at mine and your discretion. if a total redraw is required, we will reschedule our appointment to allow for extra drawing time.
-
flash designs refer to predrawn concepts that tattooers use for tattooing! the word originates from mid to late 1800’s tattooing culture, where traveling sideshow tattooist would showcase their repeatable designs in what’s called “flash racks”.
-
yes! i ask that you limit your guests to 1-2 if necessary. i am happy to let your guest accompany us during our appointment though!

short answer: yes, BUT, i do not allow first tattoos to be done with numbing cream as it is a false experience to getting tattooed and do not want my clients to be overwhelmed with pain during their experience. when you get tattooed for the first time, it allows you to have a true understanding of what to expect. 90% of the time, clients getting their first tattoos express that the pain is definitely less than they expected! for my experienced clients, i allow numbing cream, however they have to disclose the intent to use, and how theyve used it BEFORE the appointment. if you show up with numb cream already applied without disclosing this information, we might have to reschedule.
please be aware that using numbing cream for tattoos is not advised by the FDA, and any substance containing more than 4% lidocaine is dangerous for your body. be safe, do your research, and please ask to know more!

touch ups are when we revisit the tattoo and add any finishing touches that might be needed due to complications during the healing process.
most tattoos are entitled to a free touch up within 1 year of service date, with the exception of finger tattoos, or tattoos that are affected by sun damage, etc.
please dont hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about your healing process!
